I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in early 2025. Initially, doctors gave me a plethora of information about medications, side effects, treatments, and resources. Feeling overwhelmed, I decided to call ThriveWell Cancer Foundation and became a Diva in late September. ThriveWell’s Diva program offers free community-based programs that directly enhance the quality of life for cancer patients and survivors.

I felt embraced from my very first intake meeting with Program Director, Josée Battle. I also really enjoyed meeting with nutrition instructor, Priya, to learn about what would help my body. The resources she shared have helped me understand what works best for me on this journey.

School will be out in a couple of weeks (I am an elementary school counselor) and I am looking forward to attending the free exercise classes to balance out my doctor and lab visits. I consider ThriveWell to be “assurance insurance.” The organization provides a positive place that inspires us. They provide vital support for the losses, damages, and unexpected challenges of cancer. ThriveWell is there when you need them.
