YTAC Powered by ThriveWell

Young Texans Against Cancer – San Antonio (YTAC), powered by ThriveWell, is dedicated to finding a cure for cancer by funding cancer research, providing patient support and offering programs to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

YTAC’s offers many fun fundraising events throughout the year including:

The Invitational Fishing Tournament 2024

This is a great fun tournament you won’t want to miss. Sponsorships and live and tickets are on sale now. Call Brad Johnson for information at (210) 273 7860.

Bob Conger Classic Golf Tournament

YTAC “Bob Conger Classic” Charity Golf Tournament, is held annually at the historic and beautiful San Antonio Country Club (SACC) giving our sponsors and players the chance to enjoy a course so near and dear to the heart of our tournaments namesake.

Through the generous support of our sponsors and members YTAC has raised over $600,000 for key cancer causes since our inaugural golf tournament in 2009. The tournament has benefitted San Antonio’s own ThriveWell Cancer Foundation, established exclusively to provide support for persons (and their families) suffering with cancer, during and after treatment, both physically and financially, and also to provide support for cancer research.

Annual Holiday Toy Drive for children with cancer

Each year, YTAC collaborates with a local hospital to spread joy during the holiday season to children fighting cancer. In early December, both wrapped and unwrapped toys are welcomed. See details on the YTAC Facebook page.

More About Us

Young Texans Against Cancer (YTAC) was established in 2001 by a group of forty-four young individuals in the Houston area. The forty-four Founding Members have something in common: Cancer. Some have personally battled cancer while others have witnessed loved ones struggling with the illness. Inspired by these struggles, the Founding Members created YTAC to increase cancer awareness among 22-45 year olds. In January of 2009, a YTAC chapter was founded in San Antonio, bringing YTAC to the 4 largest cities in Texas.

In January 2019, YTAC – San Antonio became a subsidiary to ThriveWell Cancer Foundation. ThriveWell Cancer Foundation and YTAC – San Antonio are dedicated to finding a cure for cancer by funding cancer research, providing patient support and offering programs to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
