Broadcast live on Fox San Antonio and News 4 San Antonio, the Healing Hearts Telethon brings our community together for a powerful day of hope, generosity, and impact. This local initiative raises critical funds for the Karen Martinez Patient Assistance Fund at ThriveWell Cancer Foundation, helping ensure that no one facing cancer has to walk the journey alone.
Each year, the telethon shines a light on the real stories of local cancer patients and survivors. These stories remind us why ThriveWell’s work matters and why community support is so essential. From the first call to the final pledge, every gift helps provide direct support to patients and families facing the financial and emotional burdens of cancer.
The Healing Hearts Telethon helps fuel ThriveWell’s mission by supporting direct financial assistance for cancer patients in need, transportation support to help patients get to and from life-saving treatment, free wellness programs through ThriveWell’s Diva and Dude Program, patient support services that help ease the burden of a cancer diagnosis, and local cancer research funding that advances hope for future patients and families.
The telethon also honors the legacy of Karen Martinez, whose memory continues to inspire this incredible effort. A special thank you goes to Yami Virgin of Fox San Antonio, whose longstanding dedication to the telethon has helped keep Karen’s memory and mission alive. Her commitment continues to remind our community of the power of showing up for others.
