At ThriveWell Cancer Foundation, we are privileged to partner with organizations that not only share our mission but amplify it through extraordinary generosity and heart. One such organization is Kym’s Angels Foundation, founded by philanthropists Kym Rapier-Verette and Glenn Verette. Their giving spirit has left a profound impact on the lives of cancer patients in San Antonio and far beyond.
The mission of Kym’s Angels is clear and deeply inspiring: to uplift the lives of the world’s most vulnerable through compassion, connection, and community support, while fostering a sustainable future through environmental stewardship. This mission is not just aspirational, it is in action every single day. Through bold philanthropy, the foundation ensures that those who are often unseen or underserved receive the care, dignity, and hope they deserve.

In 2018, Kym established the Susan & Samantha Patient Assistance Fund with Thrivewell, to honor Kym’s mom, Susan Hall. The fund supports our Patient Assistance Program, which provides critical resources such as transportation, lodging, financial assistance to cancer patients as they navigate treatment. For the people who turn to ThriveWell for help, the Susan and Samantha Patient Assistance Fund is a lifeline. Since the beginning of our partnership, Kym and Glenn have remained a cornerstone of support, helping us expand our reach and deepen our impact.
Yolanda Valenzuela, Executive Director of Kym’s Angels Foundation, exemplifies the heart of servant leadership. With unwavering dedication, she ensures the foundation’s mission is lived out daily, uplifting the most vulnerable through compassion and community support. Yolanda’s leadership is marked by humility, intentionality, and an unshakable belief in the power of showing up for others.
